CORPORATE
- Strong growth, +24%, in the 3 main European countries: UK, Italy and Spain.
- The first half of 2024 also saw the opening of the new Macron headquarters in the USA, the launch of the Clubhouse collection and the prestigious agreement with Automobili Lamborghini.
- Great attention was paid to corporate welfare, with employee salaries 55% higher than the CCNL.
Macron's continued growth is also confirmed by the figures for the first half of 2024, whose turnover recorded a significant increase of 19%: 93 million euros in the first six months of this year compared to 79 in the same period of 2023.
The company's multi-country strategy and its strong international vocation are highlighted by the growth in the different countries where Macron is operating, with a 24% increase in turnover in the three main European countries: the United Kingdom, Spain and Italy.
The first six months of 2024 also saw a new important and crucial step in Macron's global growth with the opening of its new headquarters in the United States of America. Macron has opened its US Headquarters in Bridgeport, Connecticut, in a space of approx. 2,000 square metres (approx. 21,000 ft²) on which a warehouse with a stock of around 300,000 items of technical sportswear, an office area, two showrooms dedicated to the Teamwear and Performance collections and two areas specifically dedicated to receiving, loading and unloading merchandise are distributed.
The first half of 2024 also means the launch of Macron Clubhouse, the first high-end Macron collection officially presented last June at Pitti Immagine 2024, the most important international event in the fashion world. And speaking of high-quality, innovative, high-performance clothing with Italian design, the announcement of the first chapter of the prestigious partnership with Automobili Lamborghini has just been made. For the next three seasons, the Lamborghini Racing Team will wear Macron Hero on circuits around the world. A partnership between two excellences that represent an area that in the world is synonymous with enterprise, professionalism, passion and creativity.
A company's success and growth are also determined by a management model that is attentive to economic and environmental sustainability and work culture. Aspects that represent Macron's corporate philosophy and that translate into corporate welfare initiatives, starting with employees' salaries, which are 55% higher than those provided for by the applicable collective national labour agreement. Bonuses for weddings and births of children, a contribution for the education of underage children of employees, a supplementary health care fund covering the entire family unit of the employee, welfare bonuses and many other initiatives that put people at the centre. To these are added training courses, free use of the two gyms and restaurant around the Macron Campus, team building events and free tickets to sporting events.
The people in the focus of the Macron project are not only the employees, but also those in greatest need. For years Macron, which is one of the founding members of Fondazione Rizzoli, established with the aim of supporting the Bologna Orthopaedic Institute in the implementation of its numerous projects, has been supporting projects of social solidarity, cultural interest, aid to disability, support to research and prevention in the medical field through donations of material, cash contributions and direct sponsorships. During 2023, Macron supported 50 projects with a total donated amount of €294,880.
This month of July also marked the formalisation of the partnership between Macron and the Sant'Orsola Foundation of Bologna, a relationship and bond that has existed for years, but which now becomes ongoing with the commitment of the company from Valsamoggia to support and sustain, over the next three years, a series of projects and, in particular, to contribute concretely to improving the treatment paths in the area of women's oncology.
‘After a very satisfying 2023, the year 2024 is looking to be just as promising, as confirmed by the numbers for the first half of the year. - commented Gianluca Pavanello, CEO of Macron - We therefore continue on our path of growth, which is fundamental for retaining our talents, always looking for new challenges. We are proud of the enthusiasm that can be felt at the Macron Campus for the many projects in which we are all involved. Every goal we achieve is the result of the hard work, commitment and passion that each of us brings to our daily work. We look to the future with confidence, fully determined to reach our next goal.’
